Dear (Contact
First Name),
I'm dedicating the Song "Falling in Love at a
Coffee Shop" by Landon Pigg to all the couples
who have fallen in love at The Singin'
Bean. Click to hear your song Love
Birds
Eric Brown
and Melody Brown who met through mutual friends
of The Singin' Bean got engaged the last
Saturday evening in August on The Singin' Bean
Stage. Melody came to us through another
customer and became our lifelong friend and what
we affectionately call, "Our Regulars." Eric
came to us through Mike and Teal also
both "regulars" as he and Teal had been friends
for many years. Teal shot a few cupid arrows and
the rest is history. Teal was pretty helpful
with the proposal to, helping Eric pick out a
song for them to sing and even yelling for Eric
to get down on one knee right here on the
Singin' Bean stage. (see the video on our FB fan
page. Eric and Melody make the 5th couple to get
engaged at The Singin' Bean.
The first couple was your's truly. Donnie and
I celebrate our 5 year anniversary September
10th. He was my sign man, well, still is.
In fact, he
has been doing signs on the Lawrenceville Square
for a long time. He is responsible for bringing
our little Singin' Bean logo from paper to a
bigger than life outside signage. He
became a loyal customer and a regular, coming up
for lunches telling us funny stories, then a
mutual friend (Pappy from Pappy's Peppers)
pointed out to both of us that he saw something
we didn't seem to see, and played a little cupid
and magic.. Happy Anniversary Donnie, I love
you.
Katie and Mike
just got
married in June after they got engaged in the
middle of Sonny and Chers "I got your Babe".
When the song came to, Will You wear my Ring?
Mike romantically popped out a ring. Our
eardrums will never be the same from the scream
of surprise into the mic.

Our own Barista Pamela just married
her childhood sweetheart, Travis
Howard in May and so many Singin' Bean friends
were in attendance we closed up for the
afternoon. Their wedding was held in our own
Mike and Teal's backyard. Mike (Cowboy) Coker
also did her ceremony.
We have had two other grooms seek out The
Singin' Bean stage to propose marriage. I
created a karaoke screen saying "Courtney will
you marry me" at the end of one beautiful
serenade for her and just recently you can see
pics of a couple who just showed up to propose.
The Singin' Bean has a magical air and a family
feel about it that makes people feel good about
making memories there. I'm so proud to be a part
of something that will be in people's memories
as they raise their families and will be able to
tell the story of how they met or got engaged at
the eclectic little coffeehouse in Historic
Lawrenceville. Check out our Facebook page and
our website for pics and videos of these
wonderful memories created at The Singin' Bean.
